Vice President of Business Development
Location: New York, NY
Field: Business Development
Reports to: SVP Strategic Alliances and Operations
Objective
Structure key deals for current Phorm products, identify new opportunities/revenue streams for Phorm technologies, and execute new business strategies.
Primary Responsibilities
- The candidate will be able to analyze complex data, think strategically about the industry and product, and possess strong interpersonal and deal-making skills.
- More specifically, the candidate will be responsible for initiating contact with potential partners, defining the scope of the relationship, identifying profitable deal points, building revenue models, negotiating transactions, and managing the implementation within the organization.
- This exceptional individual will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced,
results-driven environment, and an excellent communicator who can represent
the company in front of leading third parties in the ISP, web publisher and
advertising space.
Qualifications
- BA, BS or equivalent 4-year degree, MBA preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in sales or business development, preferably at a technology or Internet company
- He/she must be tech literate and a strategic thinker with very strong quantitative, qualitative and analytical skills
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities and experience in negotiating complex
deals.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Enjoys significant autonomy and responsibility
- Excellent English writing and communication skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
- The ability to remain flexible, nimble, and comfortable in a constantly-changing market environment is essential.
- Strong software skills, especially MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
